Then I emailed and they send back canned responses that have nothing to do with the question, they could not even answer a simple question. "I've ordered from Amazon 8 times, the first time was in December 1999. I never had any problems until the most recent order when I checked the USPS tracking and it said "refused by addressee, returned to sender". I emailed Amazon on a Saturday and got a response within an hour or so, they said they'd send the item again with upgraded UPS 2 day shipping. It shipped on Monday and I received it Wednesday. I feel more confident ordering from Amazon knowing that they have good customer service."
"Amazon.com deceptive advertising practices exposed:
Amazon.com displayed the very common "HURRY - only 1 left in stock" message next to an item I was wanting to purchase.
This of course is COMPLETELY BOGUS. I monitored the stock availability for 5 days following my order. This message immediately disappeared after I checked out and oddly enough a week later they still were not out of stock, despite only having 1 left (of a very common and hot priced electronic device).
I emailed customer service about this. They could care less and they censored my critical review as well.
Amazon.com is much more shady than you think.

"This review spans 50+ orders for me. Amazon is great so long as nothing goes wrong. At that point they are nearly as bad as dealing with the DMV. I have done this 2-3 times so far. Once I even got the wrong item, but refused to return it because I was getting lost in their run-around web returns methods. It wasnt worth the grief. Also I had problems with their magazine orders; they refunded most (but not all) of my order dollars, and I never received a single magazine."

After 5 weeks of use, gave up on it (enormous ink consumption, averaging over $2/page for non-photo printing!, also several other problems). After describing my experience by e-mail, Amazon replied within 6 hours authorizing full return for refund, even I was past their stated time limit. And sent me pre-paid return label. Full amount credited to my charge card promptly. In other words, stellar customer service from Amazon!! (and I am NOT getting a replacement for the printer from them, so they can only lose financially). I believe customer- oriented service should be recognized and rewarded, hence this review."
