"I ordered a 60" HDTV that was delivered ahead of schedule. It worked perfectly out of the box.
The order was hassle free and the shipment was coordinated exactly as I needed.I would purchase there again and refer it to my friends."
"Thanks mahendra, for helping me choose the laptop. the fireware really really helps as it is very faster then usb."
"THE WORST DON'T EVEN THINK OF BUYING FFROM DELL!
Placed an order for a Ultra Sharp Monitor - U2311H 23IN , that "usually ships in 24h" according to Dell's site. The guy who placed my order, guaranteed me that I would have the monitor by the 26Th the LATEST. To make a long story short, today, the 27Th, my order was updated from "in production" to "delayed", with a new delivery date for June 4.
I canceled my order today.
I was lied to, many times, by different people at DELL. Every day I called I was told that my order was shipping "today for sure".
A bunch of liars and deceivers. Sad way of make a living.
NEVER AGAIN! NOT EVEN FOR FREE! WHAT A SHAME! HOW LOW CAN A COMPANY GO?
SHAME ON YOU DELL!
I REALLY HOPE YOU CLOSE DOWN VERY SOON.
Alex Silva."
"I had my doubts about Dell from other things I have read.
However, I have now purchased 2 times from them in the past month.
In both cases I have been extremely satisfied.
The products were just what I ordered.
In addition, the shipping was extremely fast.
I will continue to consider Dell for future purchases if the price is right."
"On Monday April 26th, I placed an order for two (2) of the "Dell Daily Deal" items listed on the www.dell.com website. The item was a 23" S2309W monitor. After placing an order for two, I received an order acknowledgement email confirming my order had been placed. Then, 2 days later, I received another email stating that my credit card had been declined. I had used PayPal to pay, and I received notice from them that the payment was cleared, so I knew that was not the case. When I called Dell, I was passed around from person to person for over an hour, and told that nobody had any record of my order.
After finding a forum online where others described this problem, I decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as someone there had suggested. They forwarded my complaint to Dell and a representative from Dell eventually gave me a call saying that she would look into the matter and follow up with me. Two days later, there has been no followup, but my order number with Dell has gone from being blank to being listed as "In Production" indefinitely with only ONE item instead of the two that I ordered... and the item now has a 1 year warranty attached to it rather than the 3 years promised in the original listing, as well as having been downgraded from 2-day shipping to 7-day shipping.
It is now more than two weeks later, and the order is still "backordered". Which means I get an automated call every 2 days from Dell, stating that my order has been delayed and I have to call them THAT DAY or it will be cancelled. I have placed more than 30 calls to Dell and spent more than 6 hours on the phone with them at this point."
"Dell could be a major company, but they don't have any business ethics. I found an offer from Dell in Deals2Buy for a printer which include photo paper free. They shipped printer and cancelled the photo paper. DELL AT LEAST SHOULD HAVE THE MINIMUM COURTSEY TO SAY WHY THEY CANCELLED THE ORDER? When I send a mail to Customer Service they said place one more order for photo paper and they will refund the amount. I have the copy of mail with me. I placed the order and shocked to see NO RESPONSE to my queries on REFUND. DELL CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER RESPOND TO MY MAIL AND NO WAY TO REACH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I lost trust in DELL and hate anything branded DELL. I was having laptop which failed twice in the warranty period. I am skeptical of the quality also. I am really confused with a big company like DELL.
I beleive there is lot of pricing mistakes in DELL offer which cause all the confusion.
They are absolutely bad in business. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN PLACING ORDER WITH DELL.
If the DELL authorities are reading this and they disagree with me please do contact me which I will prove. I have filed all my communication with DELL including their offer for any questions they may have."
"I ordered a new custom built Dell Studio XPS 9000 on April 26, 2010 with an estimated delivery date of May 11, 2010. The computer arrived on May 4, 2010 without problem. The packaging of the computer and monitor was superb. I have heard horror stories about delayed shipping from Dell but my recent experience has been TOP RATE from the time I placed the order to delivery.
The computer and monitor arrived in perfect shape with no problems cosmeticlly or component wise. "
"First I was quite disappointed with Dell, but at the end everything worked out pretty good. Considering the good price, it was an excellent transaction at last."
"Update: Dell called me back and offer the same monitor at the same price but have to pay CA Recycling fee which I didn't have to when I place my order. Even that, a 23" monitor for $115 is still a very good deal. Thanks dell for honoring the price mistake. I got my monitor and it works great.
I ordered a 23" monitor just like a lot of people did and I received an email from Dell today says my order was cancelled due to my credit card declined. I called the customer service and they said my order was cancelled because of price mistake and won't honor the price. I am very mad because they blame my credit card for their own mistake. They had to lie about it. This is not the first time and I was not happy about it. I asked for the guy's name and he won't even give it to me. This is nonsense. Dell used to be a good merchant but not any more. I purchased thousands of dollars of products from them before and I will not buy from them anymore again. "
"Order an 23 LCD on Apirl 26, 2010. Order went missing from status/. It got cancel without any notice and anything. I am very upset. Worst e-retailer ever!"
"Some rare deals to be had on electronics and computer stuff (particularly quality monitors). Not really a decent choice for a gaming capable PC though. I had a LCD monitor die on me (under a year old) and they refused to help me since I had an APO address (military overseas address)."
"I bought this Alienware from Dell back in 09.From the day I received it in Jan/2010,there was problems. The USB ports didn't work, processor not clocked right and the soundcard I paid for, was not the one they sent. Total bait and switch. The inside of the case was loaded with dust, as if it was used.
So because of all these problems I called their tech support. After 5hours of the tech taking control of my computer with some client on their site, he told me to reformat a 1 day old computer, claiming it would fix all the issues.
I reformatted, called back as none of the problems were fixed, got a different tech that took control & after 2 hours of him fumbling around, tells me again to reformat. He said the last tech made a mistake in helping me. I can't understand this guy at all, as he has some accent and sounds like he is holding the phone about 20 feet from his mouth.Everytime I say "excuse me, repeat yourself please" he sighs and gives attitude. So after an additional 8 more hours on the phone with them, he tells me I need to go into the bios and make changes to correct the overclocking(I am no tech.)During the time he guides me through the process he is talking to someone in the background in another language, laughing loudly.
Two more hours go by of him guessing what to change/restarts/repeat and NEW errors coming up,he tells me to reformat AGAIN! Additional 3-4 hours more & his shift ends, thanks for using Alienware "can I help you with anything else" hangs up, leaving me in the middle of this! I call back, get a new guy who is passively aggressive towards me when I ask him to repeat himself. Finally this guy gets the cores working but and some of the usb ports but several issues remain. They also disable my backup system I paid for through them, saying I don't need it.
One month goes by, still having various problems/BSOD etc. Try to contact Michael Dell with a certified letter but it's intercepted by Ramjee Narayanan. This guy is the most unprofessional person I spoke with yet. Barely understandable too.Tells me the original tech who partially helped me "vanished" (was the word he used.)I finally go over this guys head and Dell offers to send me a replacement. when I get it, the door to the drives is cracked and hanging off the computer. I send it back. They NEVER respond to me again or seem to care. Still getting BSOD, soundcard, other issues.
Struggling with the problems for months, yesterday April,17 the harddrive dies. That backup service I paid for didn't work. Lost 1000s of dollars worth of work-related info. So my computer is dead. Plus it had several other issues that never seemed to get fixed.I can't be without a computer, being my business is game content related.I don't want this same configuration though.i need something from them asap, as I have agoraphobia, so it's not like I'm leaving my house to buy some standby, let alone afford to pay for their mistakes. Ineed to speak with Michael Dell or someone who speaks english that can help me. "
"Beware!!! We just ordered this computer and discovered 1 component was omitted, this may have been my mistake. But to fix it was a nightmare...Dell's phone system is a maze that never takes you to a person you need. After about 2 1/2 hours on the phone a person gave me a reference number (651494089) and said I had to call back on Monday (this was Sunday) to cancel the first computer. On Monday this number didn't mean anything to the person I finally got to talk to (again the phone system). The person I did get to talk to did help me get the right components. This again took about an hour and 1/2 because he didn't know how to price the computer using an e code, not his fault he was not in sales. Because of all the trouble I was having he tried to get a further discount, again I was on hold. When he came back on line he said he could not give a further discount apparently from a supervisor. I still had to get the first computer off my credit card...more frustration with the phone system. I decided a complaint was in order...another hour on the phone....guess what there is nowhere on the Dell site to complain. Customer service does not even have a form to file the complaint. There is no way to contact them by e-mail. One helpful person said I could fax a complaint to their Legal department, that number should you need it is ***-***-****. All of this has indicated to me that this is a company that does not care about the customer. There is apparently no means to improve customer service because no one can tell them what is wrong. I hope this Computer works because another nightmare is coming if it doesn't. I hope some at Dell reads this and calls me, and he has a complaint form so he can record my comments in full and work to fix the problems. Based on the other reviews here that probably won't happen. "
"I found a great tip on SlickDeals (April 2) for a printer from Dell with free shipping. I went to their website and verified the price and details.
I went ahead and purchased 2 of these printers for myself and a friend.
Two days later I received an email telling me the order was cancelled.
HP, Amazon and Dell are notorious for canceling orders if they feel the price is too low.
I feel these jerks should honor any prices or terms listed on their website.
Please buy from reputable companies. "
"Dell sat on my order, showing it as "in production" for over a week, then canceled it, claiming the price was incorrect.
How is one supposed to tell if a good price at Dell is a real sale, or if they are just trying to harvest your personal information, and steal a week's worth of interest from your bank or CC company?
Fool me once, shame on you, Dell. I will not be coming back, because I know you'd be trying to fool me again."
