"I ordered some brake rotors from RockAuto along with a variety of other parts. The other parts all arrived within a few days, but the rotors did not. Using the tracking number, FedEx indicated that the parts were delivered. I called RockAuto and they initiated an investigation. FedEx claimed the part was delivered and offered a delivery confirmation of three initials which meant nothing to me.
The RockAuto person on the phone immediately issued a new set of rotors and said that I should have them in several days. A few hours later, I realized that I needed my car before it could be repaired given the delay. I called RockAuto again and told them to cancel their shipment as I was going to buy the rotors locally and finish the job today. The did so without complaint.
When I received the email confirming my cancellation and notifying me of the credit issued to my card, I realized that they had not included the shipping costs. I called RockAuto again and the young woman agreed that shipping credit was due. However, she then went on to check the shipping charges on the other orders as well and found that those were in error. Several emails later, I received confrimation that they had credited my card with the adjusted rates in my favor.
I checked this out with my son-in-law, who is an employee of FedEx. He informed me that FedEx and UPS vie with each other for RockAuto's business and frequently adjust their shipping rates, sometimes quoting below cost to maintain their volume. Such constantly changing rate tables can cause confusion.

RockAuto was not the cause of this problem and yet they handled the situation in a most professional manner. Their prices, including shipping are better than over-the-counter and they carry a wide variety of brands allowing me to shop for just the right part. I am now a loyal customer.
