"Unbelievably dissatisfied with this company. I ordered a dress for my daughters prom and via live chat they assured me it would arrive by a specific date. Of course the date came and went. The dress arrived late and not even with a finished hem! Very poor quality. I tried to contact them to return the dress and they said they would refund my money but didn't give me an address to return the dress to. They never refunded my money and I still haven't been able to get an address. The dresses are being made in China and the people I've had to deal with can't even speak English. Do yourself a favor and DON'T buy anything from ShiningDress.com! "

"DO NOT BUY FROM SHINING DRESS~~!! I purchased a Prom dress for my daughter Feb 4th . I emailed them to follow up on the order and to see where it might be for it now was 45 days and NO DRESS. Per their web site it takes 37 days to ship . I was told it should be shipping within the next 10 days . Well 10 days goes by I email them again and to get a tracking number or a ship date. I was told the dress was finished and they would be shipping it. I told them I needed it by April 13th no later than the 20th and I would pay extra shipping cost to get it by then . They told me not to worry. April 13th came and No dress. So I emailed them again they again told me the dress is finished and it will be shipping it and I should receive it in 10 days , Same story but a different day. I said that it wouldn't work for I needed it no later than 20th. The Prom would have come and gone by then. I ASKED FOR A REFUND. Then I had to run out a find another dress for my daughter . Not fun !
It is now May 30th almost 4 months since I placed the order and I have NO dress & No refund ! I have emailed them 50 times. YES 50 times I counted them with no Resolution ! I just keep getting the run around a lot of BS. Now they have just quite responding to me. Please don't buy from them !! Save the head ache and your money. JRC"

"DO NOT ORDER FROM SHINING DRESS!!!!! I ordered a dress on March 5th, which still had not arrived by April 26th. They like to fob you off: "; please wait patiently for your dress"; etc. The website is a scam, dressed up to look like you are ordering from the UK. Actually you are ordering from somewhere in China. I threatened them with Trading Standards and the police and have now received a refund, but have a very disappointed daughter. Not worth all the aggro and worry at all. Please go elsewhere."

"I ordered a red dress on 2/9. After two months I received a blue dress of different style. They were late and then they sent me a wrong/cheap dress. Now they are refusing to refund my money and take the dress back. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE."

"I would advise against buying from this company. They are at least 15 days late with the dress. They can't tell me when it will ship. Prom is next week. They really don't care, are hard to get in touch with if at all and have really bad english. "Be very careful when ordering from this company! I will never order from them again.

The dress I received is the wrong size dress - many sizes too big, and shiningdress.com absolutely refused to pay return shipping for *their* mistake. They said it was my problem and I will have to pay "expensive overseas shipping" if I wanted my $120 refunded. I told them that was not acceptable, I had not made the error.

After seven exchanges of e-mails back and forth, I opened a "Significantly not as described" claim with PayPal. Shiningdress.com did not respond to PayPal either, and I was refunded the money I paid.

If I had received the dress I ordered, I would have given them a positive review - the dress is nice, it's just the wrong size and they refused to do anything to correct their mistake."

"Buyer beware! They advertised on their website that your order will arrive in less than 27 days. Mine took 55 days and that was after over 10 email exchanges, all initiated by me. They do respond, but are very non-specific in their replies. You have to stay on top of your order. I will not order from them again. Too much uncertainty. No bargain is worth the stress.

They get 2 stars (otherwise it would have been 1) because I did in fact receive the dress I ordered for my daughters prom and it was exactly as pictured on the website, seems of good quality and it was the correct size. It was shipped priority because I raised holy hell and it arrived within the 3 business days promised. The dress is very nice for the price paid."

"Same as the most recent review...I ordered a dress for my daughter's prom on 2/7. Was told 35-37 days and as of today still had no dress. We are going to have to have it altered locally and need a week or two to get that done. I have emailed and chatted multiple times and get the same responses which tell you nothing. Then they don't send a follow up unless you email again. Finally last night they tell me that I will have it around 4/8. That is 2 months after we bought it and too late to get it altered in time for her prom. I asked for a refund this morning and hope to get it so I don't have to take legally action. This was a total waste of time and has done nothing but stress myself and my daughter out on what should be a fun occasion! I will not be using them again!
Update: I was promised a refund within 48 hours on 3/20. Have not received it yet and they will not respond to my emails. "

Having only realised the 37 days it takes to receive the order after placing it,I was stuck, as cancelling means you still pay the material cost! 56 days later my order has not arrived, still showing as processing in the order status and no direct contact. The fact this company nave no phone no should send alarm bells ringing!!!! please do not use them I have been told that many people never ever receive their dress so it will only ruin the occasion that you are ordering for. You have been warned!"

Their customer service is friendly enough, but they don’t seem to do anything but try to placate the customer with canned responses.

Ordered my daughters senior prom dress and was assured it would be delivered in time.
She loved the dress pictured and was so excited.

Repeated emails have only resulted in responses like, “we will have to check with shipping or design and will get back with you”, then silence.

So I am out the monies for the dress, no dress, and just stonewalling from shiningdress.com. Now we are scrambling to try and find her another prom dress locally with less money for it.

Thank you Fiona (“no worries”), Candy, and Sherry for bringing tears to my daughter’s eyes for what should be a happy and memorable experience for her.

But I would recommend ordering with caution. Exactly the same experience as another reviewer noted with Fiona, candy, sherry, yilla, and Harry. Now they tell me refund will be "soon". This company is a scam. "
