"UPS is the WORST service I have ever ever received from anyone or anywhere! 90% of my packages shipped through there have not arrived and have been guaranteed deliveries! They have all had insurance and tell me they will refund the shipping but in the meantime I have to refund my customers hundreds of dollars for orders since these are very time sensitive deliveries for parties, weddings and events. Once the event is past the orders are no good!! I have spoken to well over 20 supervisers and everyone has assured me they would get back with me and not 1 single person has called me back EVER!! Its the worat service ever and I have lost several customers over using this service! Stay as far away from UPS as you can if your needing your packages to actually arrive when they are supposed too!"
"My package was suppose to be delivered on 12/1/17. I promised my customers a delivery date of 12/2. My box is stuck in Illinois and with no Saturday delivery I cannot locate where my box is until 12/4. Because they did not keep their promise to me, I look as bad as they are as a company because now I cannot keep my delivery date. Their website directs you to a worthless visual assistant, a robot answers the phone and swear they can help, which is a joke. When I told their phone web they did not keep their promise to me to delivery on 12/1, she said I did not promise you anything, That says it all."
"We have always had trouble with UPS. It's almost always slow and very inconsistant due to poor management at every level. We've had pakages delivered beyond the guaranteed delivery date (even despite paying extra for expedited delivery), packages being on the truck and out for delivery only to be not delivered that day for up to three days in a row (We had to go and pick it up ourselves at least once because they weren't delivering it even though it kept going out on the truck), pakages with changing delivery dates, ignoring changed delivery dates, 'we missed you' notes despite not needing a signature or someone present, etc.
But today I'm here to complain about our most recent experience. We ordered something last week and it was shipped that Friday with a delivery date of the next Friday (Today, Dec 1, 2017). That delivery date stayed unchanged until today. The package made it to Portland yesterday and the only consistant thing about UPS is that our packages always go out for delivery the day after making it to Portland. It left Portland this morning, still on time, but then returned to Portland four and a half hours later with a rescheduled delivery on Monday. I chatted with customer support which was of no use. I told her everything and the best she could come up with was to keep checking and contact them when it leaves Portland AGAIN to arrange for local pickup over the weekend which is a very long shot. I asked if there was any way to get it delivered Saturday to which she replied that they didn't have Saturday delivery or pickup. I then pointed out that yes, they do indeed have Saturday delivery and gave her a link to the UPS site that confirmed it. She then admitted that they do have Saturday delivery and claimed that they can't do it now, the sender would have had to add it. I've had several packages delivered on Saturday in the past that weren't specifically shipped with weekend delivery so that's just BS as well.
This wouldn't be a huge issue if it had happened earlier in the week but now we're looking at a 3 day delay because of a last minute screwup on their part and they have nothing in place to make it right. The weekend was planned around this package being here today as UPS has said it would be from the start. We've already been waiting 9 days since ordering (2 days before pick up for shipping + 7 days shipping (including the weekend)) and now they're tacking on 33% more time because they screwed up.
If I had the choice then I'd never use UPS but they have a monopoly on merchant shipping despite cheaper, better options so I'm screwed 99% of the time."
"Paid for live coral to come from San Diego to Huntington Beach which is 1 1/2 hour drive. The package never came so I called at 10:42am. I waited 25 minutes and finally spoke to a gal that said she would call the driver and call me back. At 12:50pm I called back. I spent one hour and twenty seven minutes being transferred around. In the end they could not contact the driver or deliver the package onetime. When the coral did show up it was all dead. I will try to fight them in small claims court. DO NOT USES THIS COMPANY."
"Horrible customer service
Terrible employees

"get a notice about my delivery arriving on tuesday. I use the UPS mychoice to reschedule the delivery on Thursday as I know I'll be able to work from home. They make me PAY to change the delivery schedule. I get a confirmation that the delivery will be on thursday PM. Then on tuesday I get a notice that the delivery is on route to my home... I'm wondering why so I send a mail to UPS asking why it's not on thursday. same day later I get another another notice that the delivery has been rescheduled using MyChoice, so I'm reassured. The customer rep replies to me next day saying my delievery was expected last year and that the package is lost. I reply that he's probably mistaken. I get the reply the next day (thursday) that the delivery is indeed on thursday and it's all good. So I expect my delivery but on thursday PM I get a notification saying the package cannot be found and the delivery is schedule to the next day... so basically I paid to get it on thursday but I'll have to take my workday off on friday now to reception the package... this doesn't make any sense, I've never seen a company who doesn't care about its customers as much as this one. This type of scenario has happened on numerous occasions with myself and friends of mine... I can't believe UPS is still doing business being so bad at it... all they have to do is deliver a package from point A to point B and inform the recipient ... they ain't able to do none of that."
"Tried to give them 00 stars but they apparently have to get some credit, even though they absolutely FAIL at doing their job. I have bought several items from several online retailers that use UPS, all different packages were NEVER attempted, but stated that they missed me. Pushing my delivery time back 2-3 days each delivery. I've stopped buying anything from retailers that use UPS as their primary delivery service. They are the sheddiest delivery company to date. Won't be surprised if they're in a class action lawsuit for stealing money from people that pay for expedited delivery, but never getting it until 3 days after what they paid for. "
"4 days for an overnight delivery. where's the refund?"
"Paid for 2 day shipping... my phone app says they attempted delivery at my business @ 10:47am... we've been here since 6am... I called them and was told they never actually did attempt delivery because the facility my package was at is closed today...
WORST. SERVICE. EVER.
This happens at Thanksgiving time... every year..."
"Ups is trash! Poor delivery service. Never had a problem with usps. It’s always something wrong with ups. Never again. I’ll cancelled my order with any website if their shipping method is ups"
"Package due for delivery 7 November, doesn't ship until 9 November, new delivery 10 November. Failed to deliver, cited weather conditions. Weather was 70's and cloudy. Contacted UPS twice and the depot was supposed to call both times, never received a call or apology or explanation. 13 November Package still not delivered. Still no reason given for delay or why the depot didn't contact me. Repeated attempts to solve the issue have failed. Will not use service in the future."
"Why pay the extra cost for next day delivery service? Everything was okay until delivery day came. The tracker said that my package would be delivered right on schedule. The UPS facility scanned it and the tracker said it was out for delivery. Understanding that their packages don't arrive in my area until the evening, I sat back and waited for the arrival of my package just in case it needed to be signed for. 8 pm came rolling around and I checked the status of my package and they decided to reschedule the delivery because they're unorganized and possibly don't understand the manpower they require to fulfill their guarantees. Their negligence was a huge inconvenience to me, the paying customer. I will never give them another dime of mine since they can't be efficient with it. Not only do they make themselves look bad but they also effect the customer satisfaction of the companies that guarantee their products will arrive at your doorstep on a specified date."
"I wish I'd read the reviews before using this service through a local shop. They didn't deliver the parcel to my son in Vienna and it took 2 weeks for him to be able to collect it. They the charged me extra for a very minor address alteration although the street number was the same. I can't pay this online and need to go into a bank to pay the extra fee. Very poor. Never again. "
"Every time I called to find out why my package was 'in' my town for over a week yet not delivered, I got the run around. First telling that it would be delivered 'that day'. Then telling me the next day I would call 'this day'. This went on for 4 days straight. It never got delivered. Had them send it back to the Sender. FYI - It appears that all of their customer service reps are not located in the U.S. Great "United Parcel Service of America". Yeah, LOL!!
Will use FedEx or USPS always!! In my opinion, so should you!"
"I would like to preface this review with the statement that I normally take things fairly lightly when dealing with hiccups in a process. That being said, I have on several occasions made arrangements to be courteous enough to ensure that someone could be available to receive packages when listed as "on the truck for delivery", and sometimes at a personal financial cost. UPS seems to not consider that their mandate is to be a service oriented business and that the customer is their lifeline to success. If you cannot deliver at a time as listed on your tracking page, let alone at a guaranteed time as purchased by a customer, I cant but think that your regard for your customers is very low as it must be for your employees who appear to have very low morale and or poor interpersonal skills. I think your financial stakeholders should take note that your low reviews are a result of poor management and ultimately poor customer service, perhaps UPS should not survive as a business."
