"I had 2 orders 7/23/12 and 8/9/12.Never got either.They did send a XP recovery disk.I had ordered some low price items and they came.I thought they were OK and ordered 2 Items just over $100 each.I see a review says they are out of business.Good.They can't take any one else.Their website is still up though.
One order was Pacific Geek.It is the same as Computer Surplus Outlet and they took over the order.I had ordered from Pacific Geek before and had no problems.This time I did not receive my order.

"Years ago I stumbled across Computer Surplus Outlet. Their prices were unbelievably low ! Sensing something too good to be true, I placed a small order. Long story short, for a while they were my sole source of parts ! Then one day I got an email saying they were no longer in business. I was indeed sad.

Imagine my shock, and consternation, years later to get an email from them. It read as though there had been no passage of time. Based on my previous experiences I took a chance. The only thing that has changed is that the prices are higher. There were no problems with my order. It even arrived a day earlier than expected !

I will most definitely order from them again, but I won't be making them my sole source again. Their prices are quite good, but they're not so great that you're suspicious.

Oh, and I am still using about half of the things I bought from them previously. Previously the prices were so incredible that I bought things I didn't need “just in case”.

One last thing, in the past on two separate occasions there were problems with merchandise. The customer service was exemplary. I have no idea if it is still as great as it was, but I would have no reservations about it.

"I'm not sure I can add much more, except these guys are a piece of crap of an online merchant. DO NOT buy fromt hem or waste your breath on them. They falsely advertise and cancel orders without letting the customer know."

"Ordered a load of stuff from these guys.

Everything arrived about 12 weeks later except to receipt printers costing $149 each.

Sent emails etc and no answer. Eventually got a number for them and the guy said that there had been a mistake and they would refund. This never happened.

Tel number disconnected and they don't answer emails etc. These guys are total crooks!! Do not use.

If you deal with this crowd be prepared to deal with thieves.

"I always order a small inexpensive part to "test" a reseller, so I decided to give them a chance. It has now been almost 30 days since my order. They HAVE billed my VISA but HAVE NOT delivered the goods. Fortunately I am out only a few dollars, but unless they straighten this out,I have no choice but to bad mouth these guys to all my tech buddies and ask them to spread the word. "

"Boy, I wish I had checked this site before placing an order with these crooks. They basically just took my money, pure and simple. I placed an order 2 weeks ago, received immediate confirmation that they had charged my credit card, since then nothing. I have sent 3 e-mails requesting status, of course no response. I have not received any materials either. I will be contacting the Nevada attorney general as well, these guys need to be in jail.
Material finally shipped to me, after 3 weeks with no response to any of my inquiries. Material worked, but I won't buy from these guys again.

"Despite the reviews, I ordered 4 surplus Winterm 2315's on Wednesday. For $6 apiece (with power supplies) and only $4.99 shipping, it was a deal I could not pass up. I immediately received an order confirmation via email. On Friday, I received an email with the UPS tracking number. On Tuesday, I received my order. Everything was as advertised and functional."

"Ordered DDR Ram, order went through and shipped resaonably enough. Recieved item and it was DOA. Recieved RMA, returned item. That was over SIX MONTHS AGO, and still no refund. RMA # is 13414. Exchanged several emails with Rowell Manalaysay and each time he indicated "don't know why it is taking so long.." "refund person is out today, will check with them tomorrow and get back to you.." etc. etc. I am prepared to file in small claims court to recover this debt... This company is a complete farce. Will also be adding my name to the NV AG list of complaintants."

"I purchased a motherboard that was defective. I returned it for repair or preplacement. After a month and many unanswered emails and phone calls, they told me they were replacing the motherboard. I received the same board I sent in. I had placed a small mark on it so that I could identify it if I got it back. I contacted the company and they told me to return it and they would send me a new one. It has been over a month since they recieved it and they refuse to answer any emails or telephone calls. I recoomeend that this company be avoided like the plague."

"Ordered on 05/21/2004 they charged my card 05/24/2004 sent an email that went unanswered on 05/27/2004 sent another email on 06/03/2004 the answer came back today 06/04/2004 they will be shipping on monday 06/07/2004 that will be two weeks after they charged my order. I can only hope they actually do what they say. Reading the post does not give much hope. I will update this when I get my shipment They shipped 06/10/04 via UPS"

"I ordered an item that was "in stock" and was to be shipped the next day. After A week, the item was still not shipped, and when I inquired, I got all sorts of excuses.I had sent 3 follow-up e-mails, NONE OF WHICH were ever answered.On Thursday, 5/27, I informed by e-mail that I wished the order CANCELLED . I have received no reply, and the order still states it is being shipped.The charge is STILL on my credit card. I tried to call them by phone, BUT THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER listed for this Company ! "I still have not received this order, although it is finally in transit. I have yet to get any reply to the numerous emails I have setn regarding slow service. I have received the first order I placed, but never heard a word in reply to any queries. It is highly doubtful that I will ever order from this company again, nor can I in good conscience recomend them to anyone. They have no customer service at all, just an autoresponder to email, and there are no telephone numbers available from them anywhere, only a fax number."

"I'm having the same problems as many others describe. My credit card was charged and posted (I now owe the CC company for the amount) last week and the order still hasn't shipped. I sent an email after the charge had cleared and never received a response.

My last order took 2 days to ship and the order previous to that took 2 weeks to ship. The service is very unpredictable and the lack of any email delay notifications is unaccaptable.

update: The order finally shipped over 2 weeks after I ordered it and 2 weeks after the credit card transaction cleared. I never received any notification of a delay through email or on the phone. All items were in stock when I ordered. This company is totally unprofessional and I doubt I'll order from them again.
