Worst Experience Ever

"I purchased a sofa back in 2019 with the promise that this service would take care of any issue with the mechanics (it is an automatic recliner). Of course, one of the parts failed so I contacted the company. They asked for all sort of details, pictures and even a video. Even thought they had all this information, they asked to send a technician which took another two weeks. Then, he visited and told me exactly what I described in the claim and mentioned that the part needed to be ordered (obviously). Then I didn't hear from him, the warranty company or anyone for that effect. I called a month after and was told that the technician report was not processed and that they would do it and order the part. I checked online and it was updated with this information. Since the part had not arrived I contacted again and was told that the technician never mentioned the exact part that needed to be replaced and for that reason they have not done it yet! It's been three months and I am still waiting!!! "

RUN

"RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Ordered bedroom set and mattress. Confirmed delivery. No show and no call. I as the customer had to call them. Then had to fight to get the order the next day delivered. Another day wasted waiting on this moron company.
Furniture arrived and delivered. NO mattress. Never told it would be delivered on another day or by another shipper. I had to call again and was told it would be drop shipped---but could not give me the date or time. Told them to arrange for it to be delivered at the end of the month. Was told could not do that. Asked to cancel. No response. Claimed mattress was delivered. NEVER was delivered. Now being told I have to file a claim and deal with the non delivery with the their shipper---and they will not give me the UPS tracking number.
Credit card company notified. And their lame "Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We will send you a corresponding email from our livingspaces.com email address to further assist you in this matter. Kind Regards," is worthless as I have been dealing via email with them
With ALL these low rankings why is BBB not doing something?

Worst experience

"I ordered a bed Oct 2021 and it is now March 2022, and I have yet to get me bed delivered. The constant delayed and poor customer service. Got a message that it would be delivered 3/8, nothing arrived, checked tracking they moved the date to 3/11. Now today, Received a call, delivery postponed to 3/14. Never would I ever order from this place again or recommend them to anyone."

Terrible Customer Service

"Terrible experience and customer service! We placed an order for some custom sofas back in Jan. On 2/17 we received a notification that our order was ready for delivery, so we scheduled a delivery for today 3/3 and we even received another text yesterday 3/2 to again confirm out delivery for today. I took the day off from work today ( had to use my sick time ) only to get a call from a rep telling me that they couldn’t deliver today because they “Overloaded” the truck. There solution take another day off for next Thursday as nothing else was available and they would waive the delivery fee. Really is that all you have? Your solution for me is to use up another 8 hours of sick time only to hope you don’t “Overload” the truck again? How about just doing what you can to get our order out to us today, or at the very least rescheduling to Saturday or Sunday and giving me a discount for having to use up my sick time for nothing that I can’t get back. It’s not my fault you lack the logistics management checks to know when you have overloaded a truck."

Do not purchase from them online

"Do not purchase from them online. I ordered a sectional from them on 11/5 because I was assured I would have it before Thanksgiving and that didn't happen. I found out two days before it's "delivery date" that it wasn't available because it was open stock. I told them I really need it at least before Christmas and they basically told me it would ship when it shipped. The order was about a month and half late by the time it finally shipped (12/23), then the shipping company lost the order. The last tracking update was on 12/28 and I emailed Living Spaces on 1/6 since XPO wouldn't tell us anything. After a week they tried to tell us it was a weather related delay (it wasn't) and it took 20 total days (plus 5 emails, 6 calls and hours of my personal time) for them to finally figure out that XPO lost it. XPO is an actual nightmare, our local branch hangs up on people trying to get info, but that's a whole other issue. They tried to automatically order me a new one with no shipping timeline, I told them I needed to speak to a manager first to figure out what our options are, they told me they would call me back today and still no call. Horrible customer service, horrible experience and I give up and cancelled my order. Emails would go days/weeks without being answered and the system online never reflected any concrete updates so I would just have to take their word for it. They say they will escalate the issue but it doesn't happen. I honestly feel they don't care about the online customers, they lack empathy in dealing with customers and they don't care that they lose the sale."

The worst experience buying furniture ever!

"The worst experience buying furniture ever! We ordered a bed form them, took 3 weeks! When it came in it was missing all the hardware to put it together and they said they can't ship out the hardware separately and there is no replacement beds available so now we have to return the bed! And when returning anything they will NOT refund the money until the shipping company picks up the furniture and then it gets transferred to their truck which takes ANOTHER WEEK! and then they can start the process of refunding the money for another 2-3 days! Horrible customer service! This could all have been avoided if they just sent the hardware out! Horrible experience! "

Poor customer service!

"I echo other reviewers experience. My in store shopping experience was great! But the wait for the chair was 3 months. But, the upholstery job was shoddy and incomplete. The seem was unfinished on the back of the seat. The material did not align properly. Called the same day of delivery. I am 2 weeks out and this still has not been resolved! Claim filed and accepted. but cannot get a hold of anyone to make an exchange nor do I know how long the exchange for a chair will take."

Awful company

"I ordered a piece in December to arrive in February. Its now April and they are saying end of June. Could not be more frustrated. They are very nice on the phone and chat, but its all lies. Now they have it in their possession, and still it should two months at best to come to my house. If you want furniture a year out it might be OK. But I would strongly avoid this company. They give specific stories each time about what will happen, but it never actually comes to fruition, and they basically won't offer anything for any inconvenience no matter how absurd."

BUYER BEWARE

"they are horrible! I made an order on December 29th. I was told I would receive it between January 22-to the 31st. I called and they said February 3rd then they changed it again to February 5 and then they changed it again to February 8th and now they are saying it will be weeks before I see my order. So I went to cancel my order on a 600 dollar purchase and they want to charge me a 10% restock fee. If you are smart you will not do business with this company! I am still fighting with them after hours on the phone."

Horrid customer service

"We ordered a special order sectional, ottoman, and chair July 3rd and were told it would be 6-7 weeks to receive. After 14 weeks, we finally got our sectional and ottoman...but no chair. Today it has been 18 weeks since our order was placed and was told that the chair is missing and needs to be reordered. I was told that they would give me a credit of $100 bringing the price down to $850 for the chair and it would be ELEVEN TO TWELVE WEEKS to receive it. No thank you! I'm disgusted at how poorly ran this business is. Hot garbage!!!"

Don't buy warranty!

"I bought my daughter a trundle bed back in April of 2019. About 6 months later my daughter said the bed was broken. The problem with my daughter's bed was that the bed frame bent, so the slats were coming off and her mattress was becoming deformed as time passed by. We were continuously putting the slats back onto the bed and then putting the other pieces that were coming apart on the trundle. I bought the "care free protection plan for 5 years" warranty. The sales person (of course) said that the warranty would cover anything, even the upholstery. So I finally decided to file a claim. Well guess what, they denied the claim saying it was not covered. The bed frame being bent and the slats being bent are not covered? I consider this to be poor quality or bad manufacturing. Will never buy from Living Spaces again! Very upset mom."

Nightmare

"h if there is minuses stars
I bought different stuff with almost $5000 for my new house and my nightmare started with my disable son's daybed when there are getting out from the box to find the bed is completely damaged and my sone should sleep on the couch till end of July. Then the unresponsabl customer care employee called to with very bad attitude. Warning me that the call is recorded and asked me if I want to cancel the order.
Secondly when I opened the dresser to put my stuff I found the one of the drawers is completely damaged from inside by had been fixed with glue and couple of screws.
Today was the most worst day I called to confirm the daybed and the living room to be shocked that the bed will not be delivered before mid or end of july. And after when the delivery truck arrived they start to arrange the livingroom I have been told that small mistake happened as one of the sofa came without legs and I have to accept as is till they bring me the legs after one week or they will take the both sofas back to the wearhouse.
I called the customer service and showed alot of sadness on her voice and asked me to wait 2 minutes to call the supervisor and she kept me on the waiting up to 40 min then she hanged on me.
I called back to talk to a very careless person and when I asked him to solve my problems he said that they will send me $100 voucher.
The conclusion dont buy anything from this bad place unless you are ready for new nightmare.

LIVING SPACES DELIVERY TIME ON CUSTOM ORDER

"I placed an order for the Utopia Sofa and Chair over 3 weeks ago for almost over $1700 but because I did not want the white model they had in the store, I chose to have it in Black (which they offer). Because I didn't take the one in white, it became a custom order. When I checked the time, I was now advised that rather than it being 3 to 6 weeks to wait it could be as much as 8 weeks. I have no intention of waiting 2 months so I told them to just cancel the order. The customer service representative then became rude and tried to act as if I were an idiot when I asked when would I be reinbursed. He stated like other business 3 to 5 business days. I didn't even get a cancellation email. Surprise because it was called a custom order they are keeping over $400 of my money. I was so angry, I'm going to let them keep it! I do not want anything else from this place of business I'll just warn others and tell all my family and friends. Beware!"
