"JustFlowers.com is a good idea in theory...
You order flower arrangements or baskets from them online and they contact a florist located near your recipient. It is this florist who fills the order. As a result, JustFlowers.com is essentially at the mercy of the florist and your service and the product delivered could be inconsistent and potentially very embarrassing.
If you want to be absolutely certain about what your recipient is getting, do not use JustFlowers.com!
I have sent a number of flower arrangements through JustFlowers.com in the past and the arrangements were always beautiful and on time. Unfortunately, I had a much different experience when I ordered a gift basket for a friend over the holidays this year (2010). The gift basket was supposed to contain things like fresh fruit, cheese, summer sausage, crackers and the like. What arrived was fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, cheap cookies (Golden Oreos) and, get this: a package of chicken HOT DOG WEINERS!! These are the hot dog weiners that must be refrigerated... you know... the 12-pack of weiners that you pick up for a barbeque. I was shocked and incensed! My friend actually thought at first that it was a joke: a gag gift basket. Luckily she knew to put the hot dog weiners in the refrigerator right away. I am glad this was a friend and we could laugh about it. Imagine if I were a business owner sending this to a new client I wished to impress! JustFlowers might have ended up with a lawsuit on their hands! When I called JustFlowers.com to complain about these hot dog weiners in the gift basket, they contacted the florist as is their policy. (For privacy reasons I was not allowed to know who the florist was). After they'd spoken to the florist, I got the canned script of "they filled the basket to cost", "they did the best they could", "they reserve the right to make substitutions" etc. I could not believe that I had to actually explain to them that hot dog weiners were not an acceptable substitution for summer sausage because that is like substituting macaroni and cheese for, say, linguine primavera, and that, in addition, hot dogs are highly-perishable and must be refrigerated immediately. They did not seem moved. I finally took photos of the package of hot dog weiners with my cell phone and e-mailed them to customer service in order to prove to them what had been received. Even then, they did not seem to understand the craziness of the situation. I can only imagine that some kind of cultural misunderstanding took place at the florist's shop for them to think it was okay to make such a strange (and potentially poisonous) substitution. In the end JustFlowers.com just reiterated their canned scripts and ultimately offered to send both me and the recipient an apology for the "distress" and a $7-off coupon on my next order. Yeah, right. As if there's ever going to be another order from me. Maybe if they'd actually taken my complaint seriously and refunded the order or offered me $20 or $30 off the next order I might have been placated. At any rate, I wouldn't trust ordering from JustFlowers.com again. If you want to be confident about what you are sending, go with a company that produces pre-packaged baskets or contact a florist directly in your recipient's area. "
"The most horrible florist company out there!!! DO NOT order from them!!I called them to order an arrangement for my cousin's funeral on 1/21/11...down in Texas. I called and talked to a rep, twice. Ordered the flowers paid 17.95 for express shipping plus 4.99 because the funeral was before 1. The rep said they would try to have them there at the funeral home during vistitation, but would have them there no later than 11 for the funeral. My sister texted me at 11:03, no flowers. I called them and they told me they couldn't have them delivered until 4 or 5 on fri. I am hurt, they were late, didn't get flowers to the funeral home and would only credit me 10.00. What a worthless company!! Will never do business with again and will make sure to tell everyone I know about their horrible service! What a disgrace!!!!!!"
"Just Flowers is just awful. I ordered flowers online on a Friday for delivery on a Sat (and paid extra for the privilege of having them delivered on a Sat). Called my friend on Sunday to make sure that the flowers arrived. No flowers. No phone call or email from Just Flowers either. I call them to ask and they tell me that they cannot tell me anything about my order because it is a Sunday (what??). I tell them to just cancel the order as the special occasion has passed and they tell me that they cannot cancel it because it is a Sunday (double what??). I hear nothing Monday. On Tuesday, Just Flowers sends me an email telling me that they have a question about my order. I call them and tell them to cancel it. They tell me that they cannot cancel it but are going to take $5.00 off the $67.00 cost of the order (nope, they were not kidding). I informed them that I was not paying for the order at all since it was now four days late and planned to contest any charge to my credit card. They finally agreed to cancel my order after subjecting me to more call center run around, but I will be checking my credit card just to be sure. In sum, Just Flowers is a terrible place to order flowers and I won't ever make that mistake again. "
"Absolutely the worst florist in business. The reason I ordered was for the same day delivery. The flowers were not delivered same day and what was delivered was not the arrangement I paid for!
This company needs to go out of business. "
"I will add my horrible story with the rest of the posts! The picture that I looked at was nothing like what was delivered! The following email is what I sent Just Flowers
I ordered flowers on 1/3/11 at 12:17pm PST- The order was delivered on 1/4/11- when I saw the order it was nothing like what I had seen on the internet- I took the order to the florist that filled the order and discussed the situation with the owner at which she told me I would need to contact Justflowers- I again told her the arrangement was nothing like what I had ordered- (Ms Masako-the owner of Martin's Flowers in Petersburg, VA) told me she could not do anything and I would need to contact Justflowers-
I called in on 1-5-11 at 12:56pm EST and after discussing the situation I was told they would redeliver the flowers- I received a call later (voice mail message that they needed to speak with me) and called back and was told they were investigating my situation and the second call was a mistake in calling me.
I have called AGAIN on 1-6-11 at 1:oopm EST- The lady I spoke with said she would try to reach a florist in the area and try to get the order set up for redelivery-I asked her if what I was told yesterday did not happen- she said the note in the system was we were waiting to hear back from you- at which I asked to speak with a supervisor! Angie picked up on the line and said she was a Manager and she told me that she would make sure the order was received today- I again told her my frustration and asked what was going to be delivered this time- I asked her is what I ordered on the internet what would be delivered, she assured me it would be. I asked if I could speak with someone above her- no one ever came back to the phone so I hung up- Angie called me back at 1:55pm and said she spoke with the shop and they did deliver what they were told to deliver- I told Angie again that the picture on the internet was nothing like what was delivered- the picture was a glass vase not a plastic dish that could fit in the palm of your hand! The flowers looked nothing like the picture- and the “2” sunflowers that were put in the arrangement were wilting! Not even sure where the sunflowers came from!
I finally told Angie that you can do whatever you want! I have ordered MANY flowers over the years and have NEVER had this happen before! YOU completely misrepresented this order! The picture is nothing like what was delivered!
All I can say is buyer be ware of Just Flower!

"Simply the worst company I have ever worked with.
Flowers were late for a funeral and they said they would be there in time. Not only were they late but they were delivered 3 days later.
I was told they would be $40 and at checkout the same day service was going to run it to $80. I did the same day service and they still showed up 3 days later for a Funeral.
I called them three times and was put on hold all three times for 30 minutes. Exactly at 30 minutes, a voice recording came up and said I had to leave a message. As of today I have never received a phone call back.
I clicked on their Chat Now button on their website and was told by the operator that I had to call in to get verification that the order was sent. I explained to the operator that I have already left three messages. The operator simply said to call back during non peak hours.
This company is so incompetent and I will not allow anyone else to be scammed or mistreated.
If you want to have flowers delivered on time, DO NOT USE JUSTFLOWERS.COM

"I ordered a wreath online to be delivered to my boyfriend for the holidays while he was working away from home in Hawaii. The delivery date was set for a Saturday. When I received no word from him about the wreath on Saturday, I called the customer service line on Sunday and received an apology and promise it would be delivered that day. I came home to an email that evening apologizing again for the delay and that the arrangement would be delivered on Monday. Monday afternoon I received a phone call from Just Flowers telling me the arrangement would run an additional $15 to be delivered in Hawaii. After speaking with a "supervisor" I was told the cost would be waived and the flowers would be delivered that afternoon. Three hours later I noticed I had 18 missed phone calls from Just Flowers and the arrangement I had ordered could not be made for the amount of money I had paid, however a "candy cane" wreath could be delivered instead. When I told them it was unacceptable, they promised the arrangement I had ordered would be delivered the following day...are you following along? This is now day four. On Tuesday (day four), I received another call telling me they could do the "candy cane" wreath or else it would cost me an additional $30 to send the original wreath I ordered. When I told them to "eat the cost" and fix the problem, the "supervisor" offered to give me $10 off. Needless to say, I told them to shove it and cancelled my order. I don't know how these people stay in business, but the left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing, their customer service line connection sucks, and their common sense on handling customer complaints is appalling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! You've been warned!

"This was the worst experience ever. Used them once before which was also a mess but I figured I had to give them another chance since there were only a few companies able to deliver to the remote location. Should have went with my instinct and NOT used them. I will try to sum this up quickly since the saga has been ongoing and as of yet, still no resolution. I ordered the "happily Ever After" arrangement and paid the extra $20 bucks for the "deluxe". What my sister in law received (on her wedding day) was a very small arrangement that did NOT have the gorgeous wicker basket it was supposed to have (it had a little glass vase), nothing of the color it was supposed to be and there were numerous stems with broken off flowers. what the justflowers representative told me was they had to pay extra since the florist charged THEM extra because of the distance, so they instructed the florist to just go ahead and send a smaller arrangement. Don't you think they should have at least given me the option to decide if I wanted to send a small arrangement with a basic vase or perhaps pay extra? I know they are in a remote area and would have been understanding to that. Nope, instead they took it upon themselves to not be out a few bucks and send a crappy little arrangement. Luckily the recipient told me. Unfortunately I have been on the phone arguing with justflowers outsourced representatives (sure you can imagine they are harder to understand and don't know how to sympathize since they can only read off their script). They even called my sister in law (the recipient) to drill her with petty questions because they told me "well how do I know what you are saying is accurate?!) I did not even ask for a full refund at first, but of course after all the back and forth phone calls, accusing me of lying and drilling the recipient, I was so upset that i just wanted my money back. I told them they can have their flowers back since i will be buying my sister in law a new arrangement. Such a joyous day and I have been arguing on the phone since. They actually offered to give me 5 dollars back or a discount towards my next order (like i would ever order from them again!). I am going to have to dispute the charge with my CC company so i can get my money back and purchase a new arrangement. absolutely disgusting customer service. please beware!"
"If you care at all about the person that you are sending flowers to, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Ordered flowers for my girlfriend on Monday night, made sure that express delivery box was checked so they would be to her before noon. 2 pm rolled around the next day and they had not been delivered. Called customer service and they had no info on what was happening. Did some research and found the local company that the order went to and called them. Just flowers called 5 minutes before I had called them with the order that was placed the day before. Thus the flowers would not be delivered until Wednesday. Wednesday came around and got a call that it would cost an additional $25 to get the flowers to her. I cancelled the order completeley and asked for a complete refund, so far it shows it is cancelled, but I'll will wait to see if the money actually gets refunded. I then called the local florist that it went through in the beginning and ordered it through them. Then come to find out what I had ordered they don't even have, which wasn't a big deal but never knew this info. Thus, through the local company the flowers will be delivered today cheaper than through Just flowers. Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Worst service ever!"
"they should rename this company---shabbyflowers.com. i will never order from this company again---no matter what they offer.you take your chances with a internet company and i lost when i contact this company for florist delivery.i will contact better business bureau---this company should not be in business!!!!! i wish i had read the review prior to doing any type of business with this company.on the day of delivery, this company called me asking for more money.when i wanted to cancel the order--they offered another arrangement.when the flowers did arrive--5 days after the requested delivery date--it was not the substituted arrangement.i ended up paying $60 for 2 flowers in a jar ($30 for each flower). i definitely did not get what i paid for!!!! this company is such a rip off."
"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!THEY RUN A SCAM!! We paid over $100 for a floral arrangement for a close relative's funeral. An arrangement one quarter of the size we expected arrived at the funeral home. The basket that the flowers were in was chipped. Many of the flowers were brown on the edges and no sunflowers were included, as promised in the ad. The basket was one-sisded and the floral foam was in clear view. The sympathy banner that we paid extra for, was not provided. The card was a plain index card, with no envelope and handwritten in embarassingly messy handwriting. We contacted customer service by e-mail. They responded by phone. I spoke to a representative for 40 min. explaining my complaints. I was told a manager would call the next day. After speaking to him, he offered me a very small refund. I refused and was offered less the next day by "Faith", another manager, who left 5 messages on my answering machine!! She informed me that I should have taken a picture! I let her know that it was not the place to take a picture... I was at a funeral!!! CALL ANOTHER FLORIST FOR YOUR NEEDS!"
"Delivered extremely late. No notice. Paid expedite fee. Poor communication, even after I contacted them to ask why the flowers I ordered had not been delivered 3 hours earlier as promised. Was told on 3 separate occasions that the flowers were in route. All lies. I finally got the name of the florist and contacted them directly and received the truth. The order was turned in at last minute and they were rushing to fill the order. Delivery truck had not even arrived, much less left for delivery. Justflowers.com customer service had NO CLUE or they were LYING!! Either way, they only offered to credit back $4.99! Horrible compensation for (FINALLY) delivering Anniversary flowers at 5p! I was told that had I called the florist directly, they would have delivered them in the morning and cost less. I don't mind paying a little more for convenience. This was definitely not convenient. I paid more, got less, and had to spend over an hour tracking down my order. I will never use again and I am seeking all forms of media to ensure they get the lowest reviews possible. I hope NOBODY ever has to deal with them. Very troubling that they showed up at the top of a google search. shows that $$ for advertising takes precedence over quality of service."
"I was very excited to order a very special fruit basket arrangement for my daughter's "First Day" of teaching ever and a new job. The purpose of the gift was made very clear by the message I included and they had all phone numbers to contact me if there was a problem. Not only was the arrangement not delivered as promised, the only way I knew was to ask my daughter IF she had received anything. I had to contact them to find out why it was not delivered (they had 3 days notice) and they never gave a reasonable explanation but offered to deliver it the second day with a note saying "Sorry" and take a measly 5 dollars off the 55 dollars price for a few pieces of fruit. Should it now say "Happy Second day of School???" Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I shall never use them again.
Good luck if you decide to risk it."
"I ordered flowers today for a special occasion for my daughter's business. I only ordered because they could deliver immediately, within 4 hours. Approximately 3 hours after I placed my order I received a phone call telling me that they could not deliver today after all; the store they were working with has too many deliveries. They offered to deliver tomorrow, with an apology note. I had to ask about the refund on the express delivery charge, which they said they would refund. I was going to cancel the order because, realistically, I could get anyone to deliver the next day. The customer service rep reduced the order by $15 if I could not cancel and have it delivered tomorrow. I agreed but it wasn't a discount she had immediately offered, and I had to "negotiate" the discount, which I didn't appreciate. I agreed to have them delivered tomorrow, but I am so disappointed that their ad was misrepresented. There should be a disclaimer stating that there might be a chance same day delivery would not be possible."
"I was shopping around online for a company that could deliver flowers to my girlfriend while she was doing a summer study program in a different state (she's been having a rough time, so she really needed something to cheer her up). Just Flowers guaranteed (both on their site an in a confirmation email shortly after) that they could deliver on July 3rd, a Saturday. I specifically chose this company for that reason. Not only were the flowers on the expensive side, but the service fee (which I could not see until AFTER I'd confirmed my order) pushed the price up past that of other sites that I'd looked at.
The flowers never arrived. I provided two phone numbers in case they had any sort of trouble and even indicated in the "special instructions" box that I wanted to be contacted if there were any problems. Despite that and numerous voice mails and emails after the flowers didn't arrive by their guaranteed time, I received no contact from the company until earlier today (Monday), telling me that they had been unable to find a florist to deliver the arrangement on a weekend. After calling customer service to confirm that the arrangement would actually arrive today, I received an email just late enough that I cannot actually get on the phone with anyone until tomorrow that the arrangement cannot actually be delivered today, but will be tomorrow.
Nothing has been offered in the way of compensation, no one has been able to provide any help or any real guarantee that the flowers will arrive on Tuesday (or ever), and the only contact they have initiated has been in the form of cookie-cutter emails simply telling me my order is going to be increasingly late.
I would advise against EVER using this company or any company associated with it, as you will likely pay a lot of money for poor customer service and late flower delivery."
